Returning N’Golo Kante gives Graham Potter major thinker to ponder for two weeks

The news today, as reported by sources like Football.London, is that N’Golo Kante is back in Chelsea training.

The France midfielder twanged his hamstring late in the game against Tottenham last month, and hasn’t been seen since.

We feared the injury could be even worse than this, but his absence has already played a major role in Thomas Tuchel losing his job.

With two weeks of International Break now in full swing, Kante has plenty of time to prepare with new manager Graham Potter on the training field.

We’ve only seen one game with Potter in charge so far, and he used an interesting setup with both Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic, plus Mason Mount further forward.

It will be interesting to see what the coach has planned for Kante when he’s back. Will he just drop in to replace one of Kova or Jorginho, or will Potter shift shape entirely to accommodate him?
