Raheem Sterling already delivering what Chelsea had hoped

After 8 games of the new season, Raheem Sterling is really delivering what Chelsea had hoped when they bought him.

They wanted productivity, and they got it. He has 4 goals and an assist already, and has been by far our most decisive attacking player.

Despite the struggles of those around him, Sterling has kept up his impressive Man City record of getting the job done in the final third.

He’s often frustrating to watch, but there’s no denying that he creates so many chances for himself that he always comes out on top.

Part of the reason Chelsea wanted him was his work rate and utility as a pressing player, and he’s working as hard as ever there too. He’s committed 1.3 fouls a game, the third most on the team, showing his Pep tactical foul training is still deeply embedded.

If only they could get the rest of their team to be as productive as Raheem.
