Chelsea’s first and only game played with Graham Potter at the helm ended with a disappointing 1-1 result, although there was a new intensity and some visible changes compared to the dying days of Thomas Tuchel’s reign.
Potter has now got weeks to reinforce his message further, and a lot will depend on his famous man management skills as he looks to get his ideas across quickly and simply.

It sounds like he’s doing a good job, and not just from the performance against RB Salzburg. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang started that game and noted in some complimentary comments about his new boss that “it’s going to be easy to adapt, his ideas are very clear.”
If that ends up being true, we can hope to see a transformed team on the 1st when we play Crystal Palace. It will be exciting to see what he can produce with a much better group of players at his disposal than at Brighton.
