Chelsea returned to training today after a break for most of the squad over the weekend.
With plenty of the first team on international duty, those still at Cobham played a behind closed doors game last week before having a couple of days off.
Today that group were back at it, with a game finally on the horizon.
Edouard Mendy is an international – and a trophy winner, in fact, with Senegal. But he returned from their meet up after picking up a slight injury, one which also caused him to miss Graham Potter’s first and only game so far.
He trained today however, and looked to be taking part fully after a couple of days off.
By the time we reach Saturday he should be at 100%, and we will see what Potter’s plans are for the stopper, who has struggled for form in the last9 months after a great start at Chelsea.
