Christopher Nkunku had “secret medical” with Chelsea

Some interesting late night news has come out about Chelsea’s transfer activity.

The takeover by Todd Boehly was only completed so late in the day that it felt there was unfinished business in the transfer market this summer. There were players being sold on deadline day, but there was also a real sense that more could have come and gone with more time.

It seems the fact that the window is closed hasn’t slowed down our push for an overhaul. Sources in Germany are reporting that the club have conducted a covert medical on Christopher Nkunku, the RB Leipzig attacker.

Bild, a solid source, say that last month we had the 24 year old come to Frankfurt for check ups, with “an orthopedist” present. It all sounds rather against the rules – unless Leipzig gave permission.

There is talk of a €60m release clause, and if that’s true it could be that we actually do this deal midseason, and just wait for the window to open to actually bring him in, either in January or next summer.

  1. This actions behind the seen shows how Todd Boehly was acting as a serious business man. Infact i’m glad to hear about this news. Move on my new owner we’re solidly behind u. Good job done so far n i in particular want to see more in January window n beyond. Sell Pulisic n Zeyech in January n bring inn Gakpo n Odoi back to replace them then Edson Alvarez n Moises Caiceda to strenghten our midfield n perhaps Adam Webster as a backup for Thiago Silva then by the next summer Christopher Nkunku, Rafeal Leao, Josko Gvardiol plus the young Russian guy n the 16yrs old Brazilian wonderkid then i think we may be getting to where we want our team Chelsea to be.
