Denzel Dumfries was linked with the Blues all summer, and for the first time he has acknowledged the links, albeit not in a way that will encourage Chelsea particularly.
“The interest flatters me, of course. But my focus is only on Inter,” the right back said in quotes picked up by the Sun.
“We want to win the Scudetto because we lost it last season.”
The Dutch international moved to Inter in the summer of 2021 after a strong European Championships, and has had some impressive games without settling fully.
He could be in that perfect range of price and ability where he’s happy enough to be a rotation option for Reece James, who will take some displacing as our number one.
There’s a long way to go until January – perhaps if Inter are out of the title race by then, he will take our interest more seriously.
