Chelsea reward breakout youngster with new contract

Chelsea youth talent Lewis Hall has become the latest player to sign a new contract with the club.

The midfielder made his first debut last season as a 17 year old, as Covid drained Thomas Tuchel’s squad to the bare bones.

He’s been restored to his preferred central midfield spot in the youth team since then, and has continued to shine at that level. Future appearances in the first team can’t be far away.

Hall signs a deal until 2025 as a reward for his continued development, and we would imagine he’s one of the key youngsters that Graham Potter and his staff have been made aware of since arriving to take over.

Competition will be hot though – Chelsea signed two outstanding young central midfielders of a similar age for over €10m each this summer, and they will be expecting minutes sooner rather than later.

That should hopefully help Hall raise his game.
