Chelsea midfielder ‘offered himself’ to Barcelona

Chelsea have a big situation on their hands for next summer, one that mirrors the defensive situation that they had this summer.

They lost both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, who were considered key players, as free agents due to their contracts running out, meaning they had to rebuild the defence in the transfer window.

Now, both N’Golo Kante and Jorginho’s contracts are running out and they are set to be free agents come next summer if they do not pen new extensions. Chelsea could now have a similar situation to this summer, but in midfield.

Jorginho has also apparently already offered himself to Barcelona, according to Marca reporter Luis Rojo. You’d assume that if this is true, he means for next summer when he becomes a free agent, because come January he will be free to speak to agree a new contract with a new club. Obviously, this is speculation at this point:
