Chelsea hold talks with CEO as they look to ‘enhance structure’ of the club

Chelsea Football Club are making all sorts of changes at the club right now.

They are making changes to the structure of the club from the top to the bottom and we have already seen a host of these changes including chairman Bruce Buck, director Marina Granovskaia, and technical director Petr Cech all leaving the club recently. And of course, even more recently, the sacking of Thomas Tuchel then the hiring of Graham Potter.

Next it is expected we will see a new director of football arrive, and that looks most likely to be Christoph Freund from RB Salzburg. But According to The Athletic, Chelsea are also talking to RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff regarding taking a role at the club in the future.

It will very interesting to see if anything develops in those talks, but it is a clear show if direction from the new Chelsea owners and where they want to take the club.
