Chelsea could return with €150m offer for attacker, who will get several chances to impress

SportWitness have an interesting story about Chelsea’s past and future interest in Rafael Leao.

The attacker was subject to a €100m bid late in the summer according to their story translated from the Italian press, but it wasn’t enough to persuade them to sell.

That hasn’t put off the Blues, and the talk here is of a €150m offer in January.

It’s hard to see Milan being able to turn down that kind of crazy money – but only because it’s so much more than the Portugal star is worth.

The attacker will get a chance to try and show he’s worth that kind of money when Chelsea face Milan in two crucial Champions League group games in the weeks to come.

There’s also the potential for a monster World Cup campaign to raise interest, with a path to the first team looking increasingly clear in Fernando Santos’ thinking, especially if his club form stays good.
