Chelsea’s cull continues.
After clearing out the C Suite immediately after the takeover, Todd Boehly then gutted the football department, starting with Marina Granovskaia and Petr Cech, then working his way down to Thomas Tuchel.
A few days ago we heard that the head of the club’s medical department, Paco Biosca, who has been at the club for ten years.
As reported by @AdrianJKajumba – head physio Thierry Laurent is the latest member of staff to leave Chelsea today. The cull continues… #cfc

Chelsea will make appointments in the medical department and I’m told they are currently now looking appointing both a sporting director and a technical director with discussions happening with individuals over both roles #cfc

Now, according to the well connected Matt Law of the Telegraph, head physio Thierry Laurent has also been sacked.
As in the case of Biosca, the writing appeared to be on the wall when Wesley Fofana was sent to the USA for his medical, rather than doing it at Cobham as they would have done normally.
Whether the new owners had specific problems with the medical staff in place or whether they just wanted their guys in place from top to bottom we’re not sure, but they’re wasting no time either way.
