Wilfried Zaha had face to face meetings with Chelsea as Aubameyang alternative crystallises

Chelsea are being strongly linked with Wilfried Zaha as the transfer window progresses.

There are reports from Simon Philips today that the club met with Zaha and his representative multiple times last week, with a “positive reaction” from the winger’s camp.

Palace will be reluctant to let their star player go, but they have cultivated a nice group of tricky wingers in the last couple of years, which could soften the blow a little.

Zaha has started this season very strongly, and seems like a major alternative to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

He missed yesterday’s game against Manchester City, but his team did just fine without him.

That absence was apparently down to injury – but we’re increasingly thinking there may have been other reasons behind it.

Zaha is a somewhat controversial figure among Premier League fans, but there’s no doubt he’s got a lot of quality and could add some real danger to our attack.

  1. Chelsea needs a ball playing proven goal scorer that can guarantee goals in double figures. I doubt that Zaha can provide this. I just don’t know why we didn’t go for Gabriel Jesus before Arsenal snapped him up.

  2. Perfect purchase if it goes through. He always gets double figures goal wise and assists , and in a good side like chelsea he will better those stats ….

  3. I’m not pleased with Tuchel for rejecting CR7. He is a very good goal scorer and a good coach can bring the best out of him. His presence is a dread to defenders. He might just be a successful addition to our attack that is lacking depth at moment. He is the coach and have the decision to make. But I think we should have CR7. .
