Manchester City were strongly interested in Marc Cucurella, but Brighton were holding out for big money.
Cucurella handed in a transfer request, but it wasn’t enough to get Brighton to budge. Eventually City gave up. But then Chelsea appeared on the scene with a massive wedge of cash.
What’s happened in the end? Cucurella is getting the move he wants, and Brighton are getting the money they want. So everyone is happy.
Apart from Simon Jordan, naturally. He was on TalkSport “deploring” the full back’s behaviour.
