Chelsea’s interest in Wesley Fofana is reaching boiling point, and if a deal is agreed it looks likely to come in the next few days.
Now is a good time to look back on the history of the club’s interest in the Leicester defender, and Ben Jacobs of CBS did just that on his Twitter today.
He wrote a little summary of the historical interest in the centre back which makes it clear that this is a long standing target for Chelsea.
Apparently the Blues wanted him last summer and in January – but clearly his injuries have disrupted their plans a lot.
Also understand when Fofana signed new deal he was told #LCFC would listen to 'fair' offers in 2023. Leicester prefer to consider a sale next summer. #CFC hoping Fofana's openness to move may see Leicester soften a little on price. Not impossible but very challenging negotiation.

Leicester’s idea is apparently to sell him next summer, but it sounds like a mega bid from Chelsea could change their mind.
The question is how high are Todd Boehly and his team willing to go – and how quickly can the transfer be done? The season starts this week.
