Chelsea have a number of obstacles to overcome if they are to want to make one major signing this summer at least.
The Blues are attempting to tie up some late business in this window and sign a couple more players at least, and one of them could be Barcelona midfielder Frenkie De Jong.

However, there are a number of issues in front of this potential pursuit, one of which being his dramatic contractual situation at Barcelona. There are a lot of contrasting stories on this one going around, but hopefully we will see a conclusion either way this week as Barca attempt to get him to take a huge pay cut to stay with them. I believe anything can still happen here, with Chelsea waiting in the wings.
Another obstacle though was Manchester United’s attempts to sign him. However, that now looks to be completely over now with The Telegraph reporting that De Jong just does not want to join them. Let’s see what happens this week.
