It was only a few days ago we were reporting on the approval by Hammersmith and Fulham council of several cosmetic changes to Stamford Bridge.
Well, the new owners aren’t messing about – those changes have already been enacted. Our favourite one is a reinstating of the old “Chelsea Football Club” black and white sign on the East Stand, reminding us of the really early days of Stamford Bridge.
It’s a lovely nod to the past, we wonder whose idea that was? It’s in action for this afternoon’s game.
