Managers must get fed up of taking questions on their players who’s futures are up in the air during the transfer window, but it is all part of the job.
This was the case yesterday for Barcelona’s Xavi, who has a number of players in his squad who could be leaving before the window is over at the end of this month.
Sources: The very latest on Chelsea’s attempts to sign De Jong, Fofana, and Aubameyang!
Chelsea may well be in for a few of them as well, and that can certainly be said about midfielder Frenkie De Jong, who of course, is also wanted by Manchester United.
Recent reports suggests that Chelsea could actually be a more feasible destination for the Dutch international this summer.
It is going to take in the region of £70m to acquire Frenkie de Jong, should he resolve his wages dispute with Barcelona and opt to move to London rather than Manchester United, which is thought to be the midfielder’s preference. [@TheAthleticUK] #cfc

When asked, Xavi was rather coy on De Jong’s future, but also says that he is counting on him. Whilst he says this, he also admits that anything can happen before the end if this month and he doesn’t know what the end result will be….
