England manager Gareth Southgate was at Chelsea training today to watch a number of his squad working, as well as having some (presumably) interesting discussions with Thomas Tuchel.
There’s Raheem Sterling, Mason Mount and Reece James who are very much in the first team picture, there’s Ben Chilwell coming back from injury, and a ton of youngsters to watch out for – including new man Carney Chukwuemeka.
In fact, there’s probably not a squad in England with more interest for Southgate at this moment in time.

We wonder if he had any talks with Conor Gallagher? The midfielder was on course for a place on the plane after last season with Crystal Palace, but only got a sub appearance off the bench on Saturday.
Would Southgate advise him to be patient and earn his way into the team, or to move on now with just months until the tournament kicks off?
