Chelsea are set to confirm the sale of one of their first team players, with a medical taking place today.
Striker Timo Werner is set to rejoin his former club RB Leipzig after a bit of a nightmare move to Chelsea. He mainly had to make do with coming off the bench under both Frank Lampard and Thomas Tuchel, and it looks like the nightmare is now over.

However, if reports are correct, Werner is going to join RB Leipzig for an underwhelming fee, considered we paid £45m for him.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Leipzig will pay a €20m guaranteed fee for Werner, and then some add-ons on top. But if this is just the basic fee and the add-ons don’t bring it up, this is a pretty big loss for Chelsea and you’d expect something closer to £30m, not the fee quoted above that translates to just under £17m.
