Chelsea are currently trying to sign Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana.
The French centre back only recently signed a new contract extension at the club, but he has become the subject of serious Chelsea interest this window, as Thomas Tuchel searches for new defensive reinforcements.
Leicester are seemingly prepared to listen to offers for Fofana at least, but it is expected to take a big offer to prise the player away this summer at least. Or, Chelsea could look to lower said fee with the addition of players into the deal.
Levi Colwill has been mentioned as potentially going into the deal, but that has always seemed unlikely unless it was a loan deal. Ruben Loftus-Cheek has also been discussed internally at Chelsea about going into the deal, according to Di Marzio writer Nathan Gissing, who claims Chelsea are hoping that a fee of £40-£45m plus Loftus-Cheek might be enough to seal the deal.
Excl: Chelsea since last week have internally discussed the possibility of using Ruben Loftus-Cheek in a deal for Wesley Fofana. #CFC hope £40-45m + Loftus-Cheek could make Leicester think twice on their stance of player not being for sale. #LCFC hold an interest in RLC.

What part of “not for sale” does Chelsea not understand?
That would value lofty-cheek at £40 million ? Do one Chelsea, Fofana is NOT for sale.
Colwell Loftus-Cheek and $40m
Chelsea should definitely change the youths teacher!
All those academic players end up to other clubs and countries?
Shame on club…
