Chelsea’s move for Frenkie de Jong very close according to top Barcelona insider

Chelsea’s move for Frenkie de Jong looks as close as it’s ever been to being done.

We’re still not quite sure the player is up for it, but certainly the Blues are doing their part of the deal.

Gerard Romero – who has proved himself to be exceptionally well connected in Catalonia this summer – is saying that we’re into the final straits of agreeing a transfer fee, and that a deal is “very close.”

Barca have done everything they can to make De Jong feel unwanted, so they will hope once they open a door to Chelsea, the Dutchman will walk through it.

It’s a piece of dirty play for sure, but at least Chelsea can benefit from it.

We’re still not sure how FDJ fits in at Chelsea, given we had Kovacic on the bench this weekend, but that’s up to Thomas Tuchel to figure out. Could we yet see a Jorginho sale this summer?
