Chelsea have made a bid of over £70m for Wesley Fofana, according to a report today from Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports, who is clearly in with the new ownership.
The writer claims that the Blues have identified the French Leicester defender as their number one target, and are going to push back against the Foxes claims that he’s “not for sale.”
If they’re turning down £70m, we dread to think what we might end up paying for a player who they don’t want and don’t need to sell, and who has only recently signed a new contract.
Chelsea's latest bid for Wesley Fofana is over £70m and won't be the last one made if rejected. Brendan Rodgers again said Fofana isn't for sale, but Todd Boehly means business. Fofana is Chelsea's number one target between now and when window shuts.

We’re not quite sure what the point in bidding less than Leicester want is, if everyone knows you’re willing to go higher. They’re going to squeeze every last penny out of us, and lowballing them is totally pointless, and a waste of precious days as we look to get our squad together.

C’mon Chelsea, just pay up the £85 million asking price and allow us to get a replacement in & 1 or 2 more. Either that or just jog on.
Ahora que el Leicester no tiene portero hay que proponer un cambio de cromos con kepa. Negocio redondo
