Chelsea promise “strongest action” for fan who racially abused Heung-Min Son

Chelsea will investigate the allegations that Heung-Min Son was racially abused by a fan at Stamford Bridge in the Tottenham Chelsea game on Sunday, the club announced in an official statement on their website today.

We say allegations – we’ve seen the pictures and there’s not much debate to be had. The fan needs to be identified and banned – that shouldn’t be too hard, given how clear the pictures of him are from the corner that led to the racist actions.

It’s depressing how often this happens in football as a whole, but Chelsea in particular have a terrible recent record, and it’s down to those fans in the stadium sitting near the culprit to do us all a favour and turn him in.

You don’t want to be sitting next to someone like that, and we don’t want to have them in the stadium, so let’s get rid and stop it happening again.
