Once Chelsea have identified their targets, they’ve moved pretty decisively for them this summer, especially with the youngsters they’ve signed, some of whom have appeared without any prelude at all.
The exception seems to be Cesare Casadei of Inter, where we’re involved in a bit of haggling for the kid, who has yet to make a senior appearance yet.
After a couple of weeks of whispers we still haven’t been able to find a price that keeps both sides happy, and now it seems there’s a new rival in the race.
OGC Nice are preparing a bid for Cesare Casadei. This will be a loan of around €4M with a purchase option of €15M, higher than #Chelsea's €8M bid. Inter Milan want to include a buy clause of €35-40M, which can be activated if he is put up for sale.

Nice are offering a loan fee with an option to buy, which would all add up to more than what we’re willing to pay if exercised.
There’s also a buy back clause included if Inter want to redeem their talent.
We can see why this would be a more tempting deal for Inter, who don’t necessarily want to see their academy talent sold off. The deal with Nice gives them a chance to get him back
