“Chelsea might terminate contracts” of at least three players this summer

Chelsea have a lot of players still at the club who seemingly have no futures and will largely not be making matchday squads.

However, a big issue has been the large wages with trying to sell or loan out some of these players, meaning interested clubs cannot afford them unless they take big pay cuts.

Sources: Chelsea keen in signing Jeremy Doku!

Chelsea might be getting fed up of waiting for them to sort new clubs for themselves and could well terminate the contracts of three players in particular, according to the reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph, who was speaking on the London is Blue Podcast today.

He says that Chelsea might terminate contracts and just get rid of the likes of Kenedy, Baba Rahman and Ross Barkley.

This would be unheard of at Chelsea, but certainly not for American sports clubs, who’s owners have often done this just to clear out the deadwood. It’ll be interesting to see if this does transpire…
