On TalkSport today they discussed Chelsea’s problems, and one of the major things they picked out was that Todd Boehly, the new owner, is in charge of conducting all transfer business himself.
Losing experienced operators Petr Cech and Marina Granovskaia and replacing the two of them with one amateur looks increasingly foolish.
We had said a similar thing ourselves before – Boehly may be a great businessman, but football is a different entity, and the skills aren’t all transferable. To take on so much at once may prove to be a huge mistake.
