Richarlison transfer could have major knock on effects for Chelsea

Richarlison has completed his transfer to Tottenham for £60m, setting in motion a chain of events that will likely have a lot of effects on Chelsea’s summer.

Firstly, and most obviously, Richarlison is off the table as a Chelsea target. We had heard about various links to the Brazilian, but we never felt like favourites compared to Spurs.

Dominic Calvert Lewin also seems certain to stay now he’s their only top attacker left.

But there are greater ripple effects now that Everton have £60m burning a hole in their pocket.

The Daily Mail report that Billy Gilmour, Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja are all loan targets for the Toffees, and we could well imagine Frank Lampard targeting permanent transfers too.

So even though we may end up not buying from Everton in the end, we might well end up selling to them instead. One thing is certain – we expect some activity between the two clubs this summer.

    a premier league rival
I don’t think it would happen
    except a loan
