‘Medical tonight’ – Chelsea will soon have their first signing this summer

Chelsea will very soon have their first signing through the door this window in Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling.

Sterling is back from his vacation in Jamaica and is in London ready to undergo a medical tonight ahead of a move to the Blues, according to The Telegraph’s, Matt Law.

Once the Englishman has completed his medical, he will be free fly to the US and join up with his new team-mates for pre-season.

Sterling will join the club on a deal until 2027 that includes the option of a further year.

This will be Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly’s, first signing, with an expectation of many more to come this window with the American hard at work.

It seems the Blues will prioritise working on a signing defenders next, to replaces the losses of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen to free transfers.

Cesar Azpilicueta’s time with Chelsea also remains uncertain, who’s future looks destined away from the west London club with Barcelona pushing.

It’s brilliant to see Raheem join the team, but there’s plenty more work to be done before the window shuts.
