Leicester insist that Wesley Fofana is not up for sale as Chelsea ramp up interest

Leicester are insisting that their star defender Wesley Fofana is not for sale, in response to increasing interest from Chelsea.

The Blues are thrashing around for another option at the back after Barcelona stole in to sign Jules Kounde from under their noses. That, combined with Matthijs de Ligt’s move to Bayern Munich, has forced Thomas Tuchel and his team to go back to the drawing board, and a bid for Fofana could come next.

The Frenchman signed a new 5 year contract in March, putting the Foxes in a a very strong position, and they won’t sell unless Chelsea produce a record breaking bid, according to the Daily Mail.

We’ve heard one theory that Fofana could be off to Real Madrid next summer, but we’re not sure that adds up. Los Blancos just signed Antonio Rudiger, and already have Eder Militao and David Alaba in place. Centre back must be low down their list of priorities.
