Hakim Ziyech’s Milan transfer hopes start to fade as they close in on Belgian wonderkid

Hakim Ziyech is a target for AC Milan this summer, but it’s becoming increasingly clear that he’s not necessarily first choice.

The Rossoneri want to buy a creative influence, and Charles De Ketelaere of Club Brugge looks to be their top target. He’s going to cost big money though – according to SempreMilan, the Italian club’s final offer will be €30m plus another couple in bonuses. Brugge apparently want €35m, which makes a deal sound very close.

That is bad news for Chelsea, who would love to sell off their winger in order to roll the dice again on another player in those positions. It’s not out of the question that Milan want to sign both – but if they’re stressing about a few million in the CDK deal, they’re unlikely to be willing to drop another €40m on a player in the same position out of nowhere.

Fingers crossed that Brugge put their foot down, anyway…
