Crystal Palace manager’s words show that Conor Gallagher is set for first campaign with Chelsea

Conor Gallagher wasn’t even among the most hyped players in the Chelsea academy for many years of his young career, but the last few years have really seen him taken off, and we’re now sure that we will see him play this season with the senior squad.

The final piece of the puzzle in convincing the club hierarchy that he’s worth keeping around was a spell at Crystal Palace last year where he really shone, and it’s only now that we’ve heard Patrick Viera pretty much giving up on signing the midfielder that we now feel certain he’s in Thomas Tuchel’s plans.

Vieira wouldn’t give up on Gallagher lightly – he was a key part of their good season last time out. But by the sounds of things, he’s hear that the 22 year old isn’t going anywhere now.

“He did fantastically well for us, but he is in pre-season with Chelsea and honestly we wish him all the best. I don’t think there is a way to get him back,” Vieira said in quotes picked up by Football.London.

“He did fantastically well for us, but he is in pre-season with Chelsea and honestly we wish him all the best. I don’t think there is a way to get him back.”

“At the moment I don’t think there is any chance because he is a Chelsea player.”

We love to hear it. the good news for the Palace manager is that we’ve got plenty of other young talents to send out on loan this season, if he’s interested…

  1. Tenemos que darle mérito también al buen Viera y le agradezco que nos devuelva a un jugador evolucionado y mejorado en todas sus áreas, chelsea debería priorizar entregarle jugadores académicos a este gran entrenador.
