Chelsea set to play two different XIs in preparation for Arsenal game

Chelsea play the second friendly of their summer tonight against Charlotte, and it’s going to be a real fitness exercise it seems.

After sending some players home, Thomas Tuchel if is effectively two XIs plus a couple more, and we expect two different teams to play tonight.

You can see the full XI in the graphic embedded here:

It’s a mix of likely starters and likely bench players. The second period will be the same.

That means just 45 minutes in the legs of the players – so this weekend’s game against Arsenal is likely going to be more of a true test of how the first team is shaping up.

Raheem Sterling is on the bench to get his first minutes in a Chelsea shirt, and we might get a glance at Levi Colwill too.

But overall, tonight feels like general fitness preparation for Saturday night’s game against the Gunners in Florida.
