Chelsea have been linked with a bid for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard in the last few days, and his recent comments have only encouraged those rumours.
The France player has been linked with an exit after the signing of Matthijs de Ligt, and Fabrizio Romano was writing as such just yesterday.
Benjamin Pavard is on Chelsea's list. The Frenchman is one of the names being discussed by the Blues. As of now, there are still no talks between Bayern and Chelsea. Pavard could be available on the market following the signing of Matthijs de Ligt [@FabrizioRomano] pic.twitter.com/BqJBN0vEA5

Pavard’s comments from earlier this month, where he said he “didn’t know” about his future, obviously accelerated these whispers.

The fact that Pavard can play at full back as well as centre back is a major positive for Chelsea in their current situation.
He’s certainly not been a great signing for Bayern since arriving from the Bundesliga, slightly disappointing at the very least. But he’s got talent and potential still, and at this stage we will take anything we can get in terms of strengthening the squad at the back.
We reckon that he’s a player Thomas Tuchel will really want to work with.
