Chelsea-linked Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United

Many rumours have appeared Saturday evening suggesting Cristiano Ronaldo has told Manchester United he wants to leave the club this summer.

And according to Relevo’s Matteo Moretto , Chelsea are one of the three clubs who have asked about his situation.

David Ornstein from The Athletic then mentioned Ronaldo wants to leave to play Champions League football and ‘fight’ for the top honours in the final stage of his career, but the Red Devil’s current stance is they do not want to sell their star.

Ornstein also reported at the end of June that Todd Boehly met Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes in Portugal, where the topic of Ronaldo was discussed.

It feels like a situation to keep a definite eye on, since Chelsea can provide Champions League football and they continue to fight for trophies every season.

Ronaldo obviously feels at United he doesn’t feel the ambition from the club and clearly wants to make the most of it his career as it draws closer to an end.

Big players like Ronaldo needs to be playing on the biggest stage and that is the Champions League.
