Chelsea interested in 45 cap France international who wants to leave Bayern

Chelsea are interested in Benjamin Pavard, according to a report quoted in SportWitness today.

The France defender has not been a huge success in Munich after a much hyped move, and it seems like they’ve finally given up on waiting for him to come good.

He’s just 26 and already has 45 caps for France though, so he’s clearly a good player, and his ability to play at right back or centre back would be fantastic for Chelsea, who are desperately short of cover in both positions.

The report says that Juventus and Atletico Madrid are also keen on Pavard.

The news that Bayern Munich have now entered the race for Matthijs de Ligt could be a disaster for Chelsea’s chances of signing the Dutchman, but could free up Pavard on the market as compensation.

This is the first we’ve heard of this deal, but we doubt it will be the last.

  1. I suggest we hold on to what we have, and promote those who were on loan. because the list of players that we try to get, and prefer other clubs is getting longer. Soon be back to normal, making do with anyone, rather than who was wanted, and selling/loaning good players like before.
Sallah, Tammy, De Bruyner and so on !!!!!!!!!!
