Billy Gilmour’s Everton move in motion after midfielder leaves Chelsea training camp

Billy Gilmour is good enough to be a Premier League player, we all agree on that. It’s about finding a place where he can play, and after a horrible season with Norwich, his next destination needs to be chosen carefully.

His departure from the senior Chelsea squad’s training camp underlined that he’s not in Thomas Tuchel’s plans – certainly not short term and potentially ever. That should accelerate his move away, and we expect a loan to be agreed within a week, so that Billy can head out to his new club and start settling in.

Everton seem the most likely candidate, with Frank Lampard desperate for cheap reinforcements to add to his struggling squad. Gilmour could be a move that suits both parties – or end up condemning him to sink with that ship.

It’s almost August now, and it’s time to get these moves sorted for the good of everyone involved – every day spent training with the kids is wasted.

  1. Sería una de las cesiones más inteligentes a realizar, bajo la dirección de Lampard puede evolucionar enormemente su nivel.
