AC Milan are confident on Hakim Ziyech deal

Hakim Ziyech’s potential move to AC Milan is progressing, with Sky Sports saying that their colleagues in Italy say they’re “confident” a deal can be done.

They say that “new contact” has been made between the two clubs, with title winners Milan looking to bolster their title winning team from last season.

The £33m transfer from Ajax hasn’t really worked out in West London, despite some bright moments. Milan will feel he can do better there in a new environment, and with a fresh injection of money from their Scudetto win, they can afford to pay a similar amount to what Chelsea did back in February 2020.

Selling the Morocco international will then unlock funds for Chelsea to push ahead in other areas, with several new faces urgently required at Stamford Bridge as pre-season gets underway.

Given this news, Ziyech looks like the most likely outgoing player – and a deal could be done sooner rather than later.

  1. Not the solution we have hoped for. Too one dimensional. Can’t quote figure out his strengths. And his age is not giving us another 5yrs without a worry for the kind of money required to get the deal done. Go for Nao Lang.
