Chelsea have loaned out another one of their young talents to the football league.
Centre back Sam McClelland has joined Barrow on loan for the season to come, in what will be his first senior season in football.
McClelland spent most of last season out injured, which really hurt his transition from youth to senior football, and he will desperately want to make up for lost time.

Already a Northern Ireland full international, the 20 year old has has a bright future ahead of him, and at 6’3, he should have the physicality to play in League Two up against some pretty big strikers.
The youngster’s contract was set to expire at the end of this month, but Chelsea have extended that deal by activating a unilateral option.
That means he will still be ours, but playing on loan for a year. It’s not clear what our plans are for him beyond this season
