Following the reshuffle of Chelsea’s board, Petr Cech is understood to be considering his future with the Blues.
This is according to Goal’s Nizzar Kinsella, who claims Cech hasn’t made a final decision yet on whether to continue at Chelsea or leave and is set to hold ‘crunch’ talks with Todd Boehly.
Chelsea announced today that Boehly has become the chairman of the board and has reportedly been heavily involved in the transfer activity so far.
Boehly was key in the deal which saw Romelu Lukaku finalise a move back to Inter for a cut-price loan deal of €8m + €4m in bonuses, with Boehly doing his best to provide what Thomas Tuchel wants.
Cech’s position at Chelsea is labelled as a ‘technical and performance advisor’, who has been instrumental in many signings since he started his role.
I feel it is important to keep a former club legend around such as Cech, since he knows the club inside out and could provide a helping hand with his experience.
