Juventus defender ‘keen’ on a move to Chelsea

The Chelsea transfer window has most certainly picked up the pace in recent days and with many emotions flying around on Twitter, the reliable Matt Law from The Telegraph has given us the latest.

Law starts by mentioning that talks with Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt is are ‘progressing’ and is ‘keen’ on a move to Chelsea.

This is due to the fact Juve have ‘softened’ their demands in the last days, with a potential swap deal on the cards regarding Timo Werner or Christian Pulisic.

The second centre-back Chelsea are strongly interested in signing is Man City defender Nathan Ake and claims Chelsea are ‘likely’ to have to pay ‘more than’ £4om for the player. The club also remain ‘keen’ on signing Jules Kounde from Sevilla.

Moving onto attackers, where ‘fresh’ talks have taken place regarding a deal for Raheem Sterling, with the Blues readying a bid.

And finally the Raphinha saga, which has certainly caused a lot of restless Chelsea fans, due to the uncertainty of whether he will join Chelsea or go to his preferred destination in Barcelona.

Law claims Chelsea are being ‘patient’ in their pursuit for Raphinha, despite agreeing a fee and broadly on the terms with the player and his representatives.

But following Barcelona’s first lever being approved today, they have definitely got more money in their transfer kitty now and could look to hijack Chelsea’s deal.

Law mentions they are yet to reach Chelsea’s offer and claims Raphinha is ‘prepared’ to join Chelsea if he can’t get a move to the Spanish side.
