With Chelsea in desperate need of defenders, the Blues have started to make concrete steps towards Juventus defender Matthijs de Ligt.
According to Goal Italia’s Romeo Agresti, first contacts have already taken place between both parties.
Agresti then mentions Juve’s position on the matter; which is they want to renew the defender’s contract, but the green light has not come from the player yet.
This is not the only link we have seen surrounding de Ligt and Chelsea today, with many outlets from Italy talking about the situation and have even got onto mention he is Tuchel’s number one target.
It is definitely a situation to keep an eye on Chelsea fans, I feel something could happen here.
And if it was to happen, I think this would be a great deal by Chelsea.
His career so far with the Bianconeri maybe hasn’t lived up to expectations, but with his physical presence and his aerial ability, I feel he could live up to his potential in the Premier League.
