So, Chelsea currently don’t have a sporting director, so are the players now taking that role?

I’m joking of course, but it is true that Marina Granovskaia will be leaving the club and Todd Boehly, the new owner, has taken on the role of sporting director on an interim basis.

So, why do I ask if the players are now taking the role of sporting director? Well, due to an exclusive report written by Andy Dillon of The Sun last night.

He claims that Everton striker Richarlison has emerged as a key target for Chelsea this summer to replace Romelu Lukaku, who is off to Inter Milan on loan.

The report claims that Richarlison, Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele have all been heavily linked with moves to Stamford Bridge and all would be considered great additions by the current squad.

But fiery Brazilian Richarlison’s characteristic aggression and tenacity are seen as decisive factors in the minds of some players.

  8. Pelade no Richarlison, for a quick fix and short term I’d go for Lewandowski or luis Suarez and this is a guarantee at least 25 goals a season otherwise it has to be a top long term striker like Harry Kane

  9. Richarlison would definitely be a great fit, he’s got the same aggression that Hazard did and Ziyech and Mount will be his support up front

  10. Richarlison, Broja, and Kai Hervert front three will be too hot. Either of the three can play everywhere upfront and this make it more fluidity and are all physically strong.

  17. We really need defenders and a finisher…
    a top 9 with powerful accuracy, very important. But remember defenders is very important for us right now thiago Silva cannot do it alone for a long time besides his getting old by the day and he will need a lot of rest…so we need more defenders not just 1 or 2 at least 3..
    We can bring 2 with good experience and 1 just to back up should incase….to whom it may concern I hope you think about it very well…best wishes to us this season…up blues for life…

  18. Pls let us forget about striker we should give Broja chance to prove himself by playing alongside Timo, khi,. We should focus on Midfielder that can hold ball and give the Clea pass when it needed also we should not forget our backline, I think that is the two area we need to focus on.
