Chelsea shot-stopper joins Woking

Woking have officially announced that Chelsea youth keeper Ethan Wady has joined the National League side on a season long-loan.

The 20-year-old was out of contract at the end of June, but reports say he has signed a new one-year deal with Chelsea that includes the option of a further year.

It seems the Blues see potential in Wady and hopefully after a solid loan spell he can certainly make his way up the leagues and who knows, maybe even become a regular at Chelsea one day!

I view it as a positive move for the youngster, who will learn and gain valuable experience from playing first-team football on a regular basis.

Wady spent the second-half of last season on loan at seventh tier side Hendon, where he made 18 appearances for the London team.

Now the shot-stopper is playing two leagues above, in what will be a more challenging test.
