No sooner have we linked Chelsea to Olekzandr Zinchenko than we now hear from other sources that there was never any truth to those rumours.
It was the Daily Mail who claimed he was going to be chucked in to potential triple deal along with Raheem Sterling and Nathan Ake to arrive from Manchester City.

Caughtoffside are emerging as one of the more reliable sources when it comes to transfers, and we’re inclined to believe them here when they say that he would rather stay at the Etihad and that there was “nothing at all from Chelsea.”
Ake and Sterling can add a lot to this team right away, at the right price, but Zinchenko is not a player we imagine the club seeing a lot of sense in signing.
Given he’s not even been a first team regular for Man City for long spells over the years, he’s not a player the Chelsea fans are likely to go mad about missing out on.
