Chelsea add a third Man City player to their shopping basket

Yesterday evening we wrote up the breaking story that confirmed Chelsea’s interest in Nathan Ake as well as Raheem Sterling, making it a potential double deal from Manchester City to Stamford Bridge.

Now, just hours later, in the Daily Mail there’s talk of a THIRD – Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The versatile Ukrainian, who has played at wing back and in central midfield for Pep Guardiola over the years without ever finding a long term first team spot, is apparently being considered as part of a mega bundle as Chelsea look to reinforce their thin squad with some of Man City’s unwanted players.

We’re not sure about that as a long term strategy for catching them, but they’re all good players if we can get them at the right price, and beggars can’t be choosers.

There were vague links to Zinchenko a year ago, which adds credibility to the idea that Thomas Tuchel is a fan.
