“We are rebuilding the squad” – Thomas Tuchel outlines Chelsea’s summer transfer plans

Chelsea will soon have new owners and they will soon be able to buy and sell players when the sanctions are lifted.

The Blues are already working on plans for a number of player to come in and replace those departing the club this summer, and Thomas Tuchel has hinted that there might be more than just one or two players leaving Stamford Bridge come the end of this season.

Chelsea want to reopen talks to sign Ousmane Dembele this summer.

The Blues boss has been speaking to the press today ahead of their match against Leicester City tomorrow evening, and there was of course, questions regarding the summer transfer window.

Tuchel says Chelsea do not need to improve the squad, they need a full on re-build, emphasising the big task ahead and how much work they will need to do replacing players that are leaving, whilst also trying to improve areas on the pitch.

He also confirms he will still be in charge next season, as if there were any doubts!
