Thomas Tuchel has all but ruled out Mateo Kovacic from Saturday’s FA Cup final against Liverpool.
The coach has said it’s “very unlikely” that the midfielder plays in that game after being taken off in the first half today following a bad tackle from Dan James.
Kova not only caught studs to the calf, he also had his ankle wrenched, and Tuchel commented on how swollen the joint is.
The good news is that Jorginho returned today, and N’Golo Kante could be fit by the weekend.
