We don’t believe that referees favour Liverpool, but the Reds certainly got away with a major offence in the FA Cup final at the weekend.
Thiago Alcantara went in flying and two footed on Mason Mount, yet the ref didn’t spot it and VAR didn’t check it, let alone send the Spain international off for a pretty flagrant piece of dangerous play.
We hate VAR, and we’d be much happier without it, but if we must have it, could it at least pick up on obvious fouls like this?
