One of the more interesting members of the consortium buying Chelsea is Daniel Finkelstein.
A journalist and statistician, as well as a Conservative peer and a Chelsea fan, he’s a key go-between for the new owners and the fans.
He’s been on TV today talking about the takeover and their transfer plans. He pointed out that there is a “lot of money” behind the bid, but warned watchers that it’s money that will be “invested wisely.”
Well, that seems pretty sensible to us. They can’t really spend much more unwisely than the current owner.
