Between his Derby and Chelsea spells, Mason Mount is developing quite the horrific reputation as a Wembley loser.
That was compounded even more yesterday when he missed the penalty that gave Liverpool the chance to win the trophy – a chance they took.
Moments afterwards, Mount was down on his haunches, looking broken. He was briefly consoled by a few of his teammates, but it was a Liverpool player who really did the right thing.
England teammate Jordan Henderson went right to Mount to give him (presumably) encouraging words.
